10th World Biomaterials Congress (WBC)

Start: 2016 May 17
End: 2016 May 22

Location: Montreal, Canada

On behalf of the Executive Committee, we would like to welcome you to the website for the 10th World Biomaterials Congress (WBC), which will be held in Montreal May 17-22, 2016. The venue for the event is the Montreal Convention Center, located in the heart of downtown Montreal, just minutes away from the historic Old Montreal.

For the second time, and exactly 20 years later, the WBC will be held in Canada, representing a unique occasion for Canadians to proudly host our colleagues from around the world.

A key attribute of the organizational effort for the conference is reflected not only by the participation of the Canadian Biomaterials Society, but also the integral involvement from all of the other Biomaterials Societies worldwide. Working toward the success of this conference is now a proud tradition of our global community.

After multiple successes of the previous WBC, we expect to welcome to Montreal, scientists from all over the world, including academicians, industry representatives, clinicians, regulatory experts, consultants and students from a wide range of disciplines, with the traditional multidisciplinary approach that is typical of our biomaterials community.

The Montreal Convention Center is a world-class center in downtown Montreal and our colleagues at the centre are committed to working with us to generate a Congress that will be an unforgettable and pleasant experience. Moreover, its central location will allow you to enjoy Montreal with its European influence and multicultural mosaic, while meeting old and making new friends.

The conference program will consist of plenary lectures, symposia, workshops and invited sessions of the latest significant findings and developments in all the major fields of biomaterials and related disciplines. Submitted abstracts will be peer reviewed for quality and impact. Accepted abstracts will be assigned to oral and poster sessions, and will appear in the Conference Proceedings.

We cordially invite you to participate in this exciting event as active organizers, reviewers, exhibitors and/or presenters. We encourage you to share your latest findings in science and technology of Biomaterials with others by submitting a paper. If you are interested in organizing a session or sharing your ideas with us, you can contact any of the four co-chairs of the conference. For those companies or institutions that are interested in sponsoring or in having commercial and technical exhibition booths, you can find more information on how to connect with these opportunities on this website.
